Hi I'm Walter Davis founder and CEO of Xtreme Underwater. I by all means am not your run of the mill engineer. I'm what I like to call a (Basement Engineer) I take things that have already been invented and try to make them better. Lately I have been shopping online for a Underwater housing for my Handycam and I couldn't believe what the prices on some of these housings are, after doing some research I figured out that I could manufactuer my own and still recieve the quality and durability without spending a fortune.The housings are constructed out of Lexan (Polycarbonate) this material is ten times better than Acrylic. Lexan is scratch resistant Light weight and Durable. We use custom made rubber gaskets and tough stainless steel draw latches. I have integrated a one piece lense to create a tight xtremely water proof seal the lense we use is good for all conditions but if you think that you might need more light than you for such as for cave diving or night diving we are in the process of developing Underwater Led lighting up to 200ft. We are also currently working on underwater sound equipment which will come out the Spring of 2007.
